Saga Communications has unveiled its 2025 financial results, and the company reported an overall revenue decline during the year.
During the entire year, Saga saw a 5.1% revenue decline, down to $107.1 million. Despite the overall revenue decline, the company saw a 19% increase in digital revenue. That sector rose to $16.9 million for the year.
Total operating expenses remained relatively flat for 2025 at $91.8 million. Part of that expense was tied to $2.2 million in a settlement with ASCAP and BMI over rate adjustments from 2022 through 2025. During the fourth quarter, Saga saw a $6.9 million loss tied to an impairment charge of $20.4 million. Without that charge — related to the evaluation of goodwill and FCC license values — the company would have reported $10.9 million in operating income for the quarter.
During the year, Saga saw an operating loss of $11 million, which contrasts with the operating income of $2.4 million in 2024.
In total, the company has $31.5 million in cash and short-term investments on hand, and projects capital expenditures of $4.5 million during 2026.
